3 markable events of Gadhimai Mela at Bariyarpur

1. On Nov. 24, 2009 one news has published in daily that the readyness of fair at Gadhimai has been finished. Following the last decade the said holy tradition, from early morning of Tuesday thousand of buffalo will sacrifice to goddess Gadhimai. According to a news delivered by the Management Comittee, the sacrifice programme will be run whole day. After completing the worship at main priest Mr. Mangal Chaudhari's house on monday sacrificing of a white rat, a pesent, a cock, a duck, a pig and a buffalo then after only on tuesday the sacrifice is allowed by devetee. This is the tradition which is following the priest and devotee since last decade. According a source over a million of buffalos are kept in a well built slaughterhouse which is nearby of Gadhimai temple. All these fullalos were brought by million of Indian and Nepalese devotees. All these were kept since last 3 days. These were sacrifice from Tuesday only . According to the Mr. Dhenuk Churasia, The Chief of Management subcommitee, said that 12 to 13 thousand baffolo reached here till today.
2. On Nov, 25, 2009 one of the newespaper publish a news that the number of buffalos goats are rising high. These are carring by the devotees of nearby of Indian border village and inside of Nepal . According to Mr Chaurasia, one of the villager who came from Bihar state said that, the people from not only from Bihar, they are coming from UP, Bangal , Orrisa, Newdelhi, even from south India too. The news said that alteast 5 million of people are arriving here to celebrate the fair. In the mean time, The Administrative Commitee said that they have built a seperate modern slaughter house for the sacrifice purpose. It is just near of Gadhimail Temple. It is said that about 12 to 14 thousand buffalos are ready for sacrifice which are kept at the above said slaughter house area. The ceremony of sacrifice will be start from early Tuesday morning. Nepal Government also watching this fair. The government have posted 200 armed force to maintain law and order. It is also said that 12 to 14 thousand of civil police also posted there. The traffic police also 10 thousand personal to regulate the traffic orderly. This is also told by one of the spokesmen at Birgunj city that they have took a tight security system in the fair and they are hopeful that there will be no markable incident duright the fair. Electricty authority, drinking water and like other NGOs also playing significient roal to complete the fair without any trouble. It is also said that all the government and ngo macanism are involed there and playing a significent roal.
3. On dt.Nov. 30, 2009 the news has published in one of a daily newspaper that the above said fair has been startered . It is expected that 1 to 1.5 million of buffalos, goats, cocks, ducks, pigs etc has been sacrificed to the goddess by their dovtees till today. The number of animals are going high. All the dead bodies are crusialy scatred here and there. Due to the scatered dead bodies of the animils sperading a very bad smell in the fair area . The villagers are saying that if the situation not controlled by the concern authority, there is no doubt some epedemic deasease like Colera, Typhiod etc will spread all over in this reagion very soon. If dead bodies of sacrificed animals dump in the field, even though the soil also contaminated and in near future drinking water will also affected by this, veterinary Dr. Mr. Yadab explened.
